The Regina Hotel is housed in a classically designed building dating back to the beginning of the 19th century and located 200 metres away from the Popes Palace. The hotel's 30 guestrooms have simple decor with large windows and high ceilings, classical furnishings including coffee tables, writing desks and chairs, patterned bed fabrics and matching curtains. Some rooms have balconies and/or air conditioning. All include satellite television and wireless Internet access.
A continental breakfast is available to guests at an extra charge, served in the dining room or in guestrooms. Wireless Internet access is available in all public areas of the hotel. The 24 hour front desk has multilingual staff, on hand to offer assistance with transport bookings, recommendations and advice on places to visit or the storage of valuables in the safety deposit box. The historic city has much to offer the sightseer including the Palace of the Avignon Popes, 200 metres away. The city centre and its shops and cafes are all within half kilometre away. A Roman bridge, the Pont du Gard, is 20 kilometres away. A popular area for cyclists, Mont Ventoux, is 50 kilometres away. Gordes is also 50 kilometres away. Taxis can be taken from the airport and cost approx. 15 EUR. Buses also run from the airport and stop at the centre of Avignon, 400 metres from the hotel.
Driving directions from the airport: Head for the city centre and at the ramparts, turn left. Turn right at the train station into the historic city centre and the hotel is on the left hand side, another 400 metres further on.
