Location. The Grand Hotel Plaza E Locanda Maggiore is located in the town square of Montecatini Terme, Tuscany, Italy, 150 metres from the town's spa resort and six kilometres from the famous Grotta Giusti Spa, which has a natural thermal swimming pool. The railway station is 100 metres away.
Hotel Features. Built in the 18th century for the composer, Verdi, the Grand Hotel Plaza E Locanda Maggiore is a historic building with a grand marbled lobby, sweeping staircases and lavish velvet seating. There is a bar with an outdoor terrace for guests to relax in, with live piano music three nights a week. Guests can also make use of the outdoor swimming pool, which has a shaded terrace for sunbathing and relaxing. There is a concierge desk and wireless Internet access in the lobby.
The Grand Hotel Plaza has three dining rooms offering a selection of Mediterranean and Tuscan dishes. A complimentary continental buffet breakfast is available.
Several meeting rooms offer facilities for between 10 and 100 people.

From Florence Vespucci Airport (FLR):
Distance to the Grand Hotel Plaza E Locanda Maggiore is 50 kilometres, approximately 45 minutes' drive.
Getting there. The hotel offers a transportation service for a surcharge. Car hire is available at the airport or guests can catch a train from Florence, which takes about one hour. Taxis into the city centre cost approximately 15 EUR 16 EUR, and the journey time is 15 minutes. An airport bus departs for Florence's Santa Maria Novella Station every 30 minutes. Single tickets cost 6 EUR. Prices are all subject to change.
Getting around. Montecatini Terme is compact, but a car is best for visiting the Tuscan countryside. It is possible to reach major cities including Florence and Pisa by train.
