Built in 1871, Viareggio's oldest hotel occupies a dominant sea front position on an historic promenade lined with exclusive boutiques and cafes. Parquet floors and marble bathrooms are features common to otherwise individually designed guestrooms, all of which feature Internet access through interactive satellite televisions and complimentary daily newspapers. Room service operates during mealtimes.
After a day at the beach, golf course or shopping promenade, guests can relax on over stuffed sofas crowding the marble lobby, or enjoy a bottle of wine and sunset over the Riviera from the furnished rooftop garden. Similar views can be enjoyed from the hotel's restaurant, where Mediterranean flavours combine with fine wines in a relaxed environment. Business guests find conference rooms and theatres in an assortment of sizes, while a small bar acts as a less formal meeting point. Century old pinewoods are found to the hotel's rear and provide footpaths for hikers as well as opportunities for horse riding. Approximate driving time to Pisa Airport is 30 minutes and distance is 40 kilometres. Pisa airport has its own train station with direct trains to Pisa central station, Florence, Lucca and beyond. The CPT number 3 bus connects the airport with Pisa city centre. Taxis are available outside the terminal.
