Taxis are available from the airport; a typical fare to the hotel is approximately 15 20 GBP. Airport shuttle bus number 100 runs from the airport to Princes Street, from where bus numbers 10 and 27 run to the hotel. A taxi from Princes Street to the hotel costs approximately 6 GBP. The centre of Edinburgh can easily be explored on foot, and there are also a number of bus tours around the city. The hotel is 1.5 miles from Waverley Station.
Driving directions: From the airport, take the A8, following signs to Edinburgh city centre, passing through Corstorphine, Murrayfield and Haymarket. At the West End of Princes Street, turn right into Lothian Road and follow the signs to the A702, passing through five sets of traffic lights. At Tollcross (the clocktower in the middle of the junction), veer right into Home Street. At the second set of traffic lights, by the King's Theatre, turn right into Gilmore Place. Continue along Gilmore Place for at least half a mile. After the second set of traffic lights, continue straight over the mini roundabout into Polwarth Terrace. The hotel is situated on the left hand side by the next set of lights, opposite the church.
